Before you get started

Before you even start building links in oogur, it is best to have a meeting with your team to understand what naming conventions you will use.

For example:

When we share on Facebook, Twitter, etc… Will we call the utm_source “social” or “social media”?

Will we call our Facebook Ads “facebook ads”, “facebook advertisement”, or something else that already aligns with your organization?

Campaign names – What is your sales team working on? What campaigns are named in Salesforce? Are you creating campaigns to support them? If so, figure out what they have named the campaigns, and try to use the same or similar campaign utm_name.

Just plan ahead. You can’t delete data from Google Analytics.
